hey, there!

welcome

I'm Alyssa Wack, a Motherhood Relationship Trauma Coach. Card pulls for me are really about connecting to the messages deep down.. I already know.

It's easy to jump right into life first thing in the morning..

But if there is one thing I really want to integrate and bring back from the @wildrosesfestival it's intentionally slowing that all down and really letting myself wander without a destination.

Whatever that looks like.

For me today that looked like yoga stretches on the deck, drinking my matcha and doing this card pull.

Creating this space for me to slow down, wander without a destination.. it creates this deeper sense of curiosity. A sense of availability I didn't have before.

Available to be interrupted.

Available for conversation.

Available to notice someone, to really notice them.

Available to follow curiosity.

Available to linger.

So if you're here.. maybe this is your invitation 🖤🖤

Every. Single. Time.

Basically my inner voice anytime you take me outside and I'm in nature 💁‍♀️

It isn't about the thing. It's about the need underneath the thing.

Read that again 🖤

I thought I needed a morning routine

But somewhere along the way it became another thing to *have* to do, another box to check, another expectation to live up to

But mostly when the routine didn't happen because life was lifing - like haedyn waking up early, it threw me off my center. I didn't like who I became.

When really it wasn't the routine I was craving, it was the pause

A few quiet moments where nobody needed anything from me. Space long enough to hear my own thoughts before I spent the day responding to everyone else's.

Most mornings it's stretching.

Some mornings that's a latte on the deck.

Some mornings it's a journal.

Some mornings it's pulling oracle cards.

Some mornings it's ready a page out the pivot year by Brianna Wiest.

Sometimes it's all of it and honestly, those are my favorite!

But the point is, the activities change.
The intention does not.

Before I meet the world... I try to meet myself first.

And the best part is, this isn't just a morning practice. It's a practice I can return to throughout the day. Because life will keep lifing. The question isn't whether my day will go perfectly. It's whether I know how to come back to myself when it doesn't.

It turns out that's what I really wanted all along 🤷🏻‍♀️

@wildrosesfestival didn't begin the moment I drove

@wildrosesfestival didn't begin the moment I drove through the gates, it began the moment life interrupted my plans.

I imagined the festival being a weekend away, but I think when we choose something sometimes there is an invitation that can happen before

At first it was being faced with the fact I didn't find anyone to come with me, I would be going alone

I felt disappointed, but it also pushed me to show up for myself in a way I had been seeking from others. I realized there was a place where I had been unknowingly abandoning myself

Then my donkey got critically ill the week of the festival

I showed up 110% for him
Sleepless nights
Every day I wondered if it would be his last
Questioning whether I was making the right decisions
I tried to support my daughter through a confusing week

I remember feeling angry + confused this was happening - why now? Was I not supposed to go to the festival? Why did I have this vision of leading a breathwork if life was unfolding like this? How was I supposed to hold space for others when I felt like I was barely holding everything together myself?

I thought about Benny the entire drive there. It felt like a piece of my heart was still at home, while another piece was driving toward something that felt important to me. A part of me was worried I wasn't going to show up as my Higher Self, the version of myself I had imagined

But I remember realizing.. maybe that's the whole point?

Because something I keep returning to is this; the goal isn't to never become overwhelmed, angry, irritated, uncertain, afraid, or divided

The work is noticing when we've left ourselves... and choosing to come back, again + again

Presence isn't something we earn once life becomes peaceful. It's something we practice in the middle of life lifing

But then the festival came to a close and I started noticing how quickly I turned on myself afterward. How harsh my inner critique was. How easily I dismissed what went well. How naturally I focused on everything I wished I'd done differently

It's an easy spiral to get lost in, I'm all too familiar with it

but when I slowed down enough + zoomed out... then I could see
